Colin Donnell, Actor & singer

On this week’s episode, we hear from singer & actor Colin Donnell. Colin has been active on both Broadway & television for most of his life, ranging from dramatic television roles like NBC's Chicago Med to the Broadway production of Cameron Crowes Almost Famous. Though work slowed down for him in 2020, Colin was not idle. He completed a record for his project The Nineteen Twenty with his friend & collaborator Brian Usifer & most importantly, experienced the birth of his child during a pandemic which did not go without complications. Amy, John & Colin discuss the "good side" of social media, the importance of being open to talk about mental health, & how a combination of music, exercise & meditation proves to be a successful, holistic approach to coping with life's stressors.

John starts the episode with his experience of one of parents most frightful tasks, teaching your teen to drive. He also reaches into his past to share his early driving experience, which is not without a few insightful facts for Amy. Amy gives us the lowdown on the under education of menstruation. She breaks down the monthly cycle & tells us how scheduling activities around each phase of the cycle can change & improve one's life.

Everyone can meditate. Amy & John share how & why they meditate & the variety of benefits & versions of meditation there are for our over stressed, unfocused humans.
