Jodi-Milstein-photo2-best.jpg

This week’s guest is Jodi Milstein, a psychotherapist from Los Angeles who works with musicians, bands & creative types. Before her second career as a therapist, Jodi spent 15 years in management at A&M records. Jodi shares what she learned in the music industry & how that drove her to a career in mental health. Amy & Jodi discuss bridging the gap of music & health & John addresses the stress & hardships touring & early success may put on young, up & coming artists.

John opens this episode with his story as a Zune ambassador, introducing Bill Gates on the device’s unveiling & how that & other public appearances came back to help & haunt him later. John & Amy share their views on what it takes to ignore naysayers & continue on doing what you truly want as your true self.

Amy gives us a few tips & tells us how consistency & a “slow & low” approach may be helpful when trying something new or dealing with criticism or failure.
